Postcards from Kuopio

I took a short trip to Kuopio on Easter. Here are few photos from The Pearl Of  Savo (a.k.a. Kuopio) All photos shot with Leica M9+Voigtländer 50mm f/1.1

Hidden cabin

A few days ago I had a chance to visit a hidden cottage. The place is run by Käskynhaltijat boy scouts, it has no electricity nor running water. A perfect place for a quick get-away from hectic city life. All photos with Leica Q

My favorite photo gear

I like to keep my set-up simple. I carry with me only lenses that I really use. This is what I have with me on 90% of my commissioned work. Camera body: Sony A7RIII, Sony A6500 Lenses (all Sigma): 24-70 f/2.8 ART, 35mm f/1.4 ART, 50mm f/1.4 ART, 30mm f/1.4 C (for Sony A6500) Behind the scenes camera: Leica Q Sigma circular polarized  filters Monocle pencil pouch Moleskin notebook. Not in the photo: extra batteries, memory cards, lens cloth etc..

Formula 1

I'm a big Formula One fan. Since early 2000 I have made, when ever it's been possible, a sandwich for the race. Something a bit better than I would normally do. My thought was to make a commercial thing out of this. Didn't do it. Couldn't find the way how to do it so that I could be proud about it. So, I will do it just for fun. I try to bring something local to every sandwich I make, according to the place where the grand prix is driven. So here is my first Fomula One Sandwich for season 2018 Australia. For Australia I gave my sandwich a bbq-vibe. Boys night out

No long story this time. Just me and couple of my friends having few drinks at my favorite place, Restaurant Rytmi in Kallio.  Shot with Leica Q

Behind the scenes

Had a great day working with fantastic professionals. Unfortunately, I cannot yet show you the actual products as they will only be launched later this year and next spring. But I can share some behind the scenes photos, and so I do. Badabim! All photos shot with Leica Q
