Formula 1 bread for French Grad Prix

This time my Formula 1 bread is really simple. A classic. You only need baquette, butter, good quality ham and Dijon mustard. That's all. So simple and super good. If you want, you can add cheese but I prefer not Shot with Leica M (typ240) Summarit 50mm f/2.4

Cooking in archipelago

Last autumn I had a chance to shoot cooking outside with a friend of mine, Chef Ari Ruoho from Restaurant Nokka. It was an epic day and you might have seen some photos on my Instagram feed. Couple a weeks ago we went again. This time to island called Rövargrundet, half an hour boat trip from Espoo. We had an epic day, food was once again really good. My brother Dan was with us and shot an behind the scenes video of our day. Here is some photos and that video. Enjoy!

Formula One bread of Canadian Grand Prix

This time I'm giving you something sweet and salty.  On a bagel there is majo, crispy bacon glazed with maple syrup, mature cheddar and fried apple. Super tasty.  Shot with Sony A7RIII and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 ART

Rhododendron park

If you are in Helsinki in June, you should visit this beautiful Rhododendron park in Etelä-Haaga. Those flowers are super beautiful and evening light is amazing this time of the year. Pro tip, visit the park just after rain, scent from the flowers is unbelievable.  All photos shot with Leica Q

Formula One bread for Monaco Grand Prix

This time I wanted to make something a bit luxurious, after all, it is Monaco. Traditional dark bread from Finnish archipelago, remoulade sauce, cold smoked salmon, sea weed caviar, onion and grated horseradish.

Postcards from archipelago

I is quite warm in Helsinki, much warmer than it usually is in May. It is hard to imagine anything better to do on a warm summer day, than a boat ride to a lighthouse. We couldn't dock the boat, there are birds nesting on the island where the lighthouse is, but it didn't matter. It was super nice anyway. Thanks Ville for the ride, your new boat is awesome!  Shot with Leica M with Summarit 35mm and 50mm, Sony A7RIII with Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8

Formula bread, Spanish Grand Prix

This time I tried something different. One of my favorite Spanish dishes is Patatas Bravas. And so I made a sandwich where you can find patatas bravas and chorizo, boosted with aioli and finely chopped lettuce. A bit hard to eat with out a mess but the taste is really good. And yes, made some potato chips to the side. Tomato sauce: 1 yellow onion. 2 gloves garlic 1 can of Mutti cherry tomatos 1 tbs white vinegar 2 tbs tomato pyree Pinch of chili flakes 1 ts salt Peel and chop onions. Heat a sauce pan to medium, add olive oil and chopped onion. When onions are soft, add tomatoes ja smash them with spatula. Add rest of the ingredients and let shimmer for appx. 20min Potatoes: Boil potatoes until they are done. Drain, chop to small pieces and fry in a pan until nicely coloured. Add spices. Chips: Make super this potato slices. Heat vegetable oil to 180c° Cook ships until nicely brown. Be careful. Shot with Sony A7RIII and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 Art -lens.
